How to find shoes that look AND feel great!

Here at Stella Says Go, our goal is always to find shoes that look amazing and will complement a variety of individuals, all the while representing what is most current in fashion footwear. Customers tell us all the time is how comfortable our shoes are. We love to hear that, because we spend a lot of time when we go to market trying on each and every shoe that we buy for the store to make sure that they have some degree of comfort and wearability.

While what is comfortable to one person may be completely uncomfortable to another, there are some things that you can do when buying shoes to ensure that you get the best fit.

  • Don’t rigidly adhere to a single size.
  • Shoe sizes aren’t standard across brands. A size 8 in one brand might fit like a 7.5 in another, so when trying on a style, try on your size and a half-size up or down to see what fits best.
  • A cushioned foot bed can make a big difference.
  • Many of the brands that we carry have built in technology that make the shoes more wearable. Corso Como, Kork-Ease, and Gentle Souls spring to mind.
  • Keep heel heights in the mid-range.
  • Sexy high heels definitely have their place, and it is sitting down! For wearability and walkability, keep heels moderate — no higher than three inches. Looking for more height without pain? Consider platforms and wedges, which can get you “elevated” without the pain of pitching your foot severely. Our favorite brand of wedges is Kork-Ease, but we have been surprised at just how comfortable wedges can be, no matter what the brand.

The shoes below represent a range of styles that we have found to be incredibly wearable. Stop the store and try some yourself!
