Deborah by Kork Ease

Like the Par, the Deborah by Kork Ease is also extremely versatile and amazingly comfortable. The low rise and cushioned insole make this heeled sandal so easy to wear all day and all night. I love to wear mine with cropped skinny pants and a breezy-tee during the day and then with flared jeans and a retro halter top at night.

Velia by Audley

The Velia by Audley (made in Spain), with it’s artistic lines and rectangular sculpted heel, is my favorite style of all. I love to wear these shoes with jeans and a tee or with my mini skirts and chunky jewelry. The soft black leather goes with all of the darker shades in my closet or as a contrasting accent to my whites.

I’m all set, or so I thought. What I didn’t prepare for is the fact that high 80/low 60 means a very different thing in Seattle than it does in Austin. In Austin, that means you can walk out the door at 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning wearing what you plan to wear all day without an extra layer or fear of freezing toes. However, in Seattle it is foggy and overcast until 1:00 or 2:00 each day so the low of 60 isn’t just for 3AM, it lasts until later in the afternoon. That means I’m living in my black hoodie and mismatched scarf half of the day here, and they don’t match the rest of my springtime outfits. Grrrr.

What I should have grabbed instead was a versatile jean jacket and a light neutral scarf that matched everything in my suitcase. And, perhaps, a pair of ankle booties or mid-calf boots in place of the sandals—there just isn’t a need for open-toed sandals in Seattle this time of year.

We’re not the only ones loving green though… Pantone has named emerald the color of the year, and with good reason, since it represents growth, newness, and life. Viva green!

We’ve been drawn to green at Stella Says Go, too — with everything from shoes to sunglasses in our new favorite.

How do you Haiku? A haiku is an unrhymed three-line poem based on a traditional Japanese poetic form. Though there are different ways to write haiku, the traditional pattern in English is to write the first and last lines with five syllables each, and the middle line with seven syllables, like this:

Line 1: 5 syllables
Line 2: 7 syllables
Line 3: 5 syllables

Here’s another way to visualize the same thing:
